Roger J. Poisson Jr.

Roger J. Poisson Jr., 79, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, March 29, 2024.

Roger was born on August 3, 1944, to Roger and Violet Poisson in Woonsocket, RI, and went on to enjoy a very rich life involving the raising of his family, careers in healthcare and international business, traveling the world, and helping others through community service. Roger filled his retirement years as a Board member and past President of York Community Service Association, activities as a member of the Rotary International, and as a Board Member of the York Ambulance Association, Inc.

Roger is survived by his wife of 57 years, Louise; his oldest son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, Scott, Sandi, Nicole, Drew, and Chase; his youngest son, Glen; and his brother, Paul.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests kindly making a donation in Roger Poisson’s name to York Community Service Association, PO Box 180, York, Maine 03909.

A period of visitation will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 10-11am with a funeral service at 11am in Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd. York, Maine. Burial will be private in the First Parish Cemetery. www.lucaseatonfuneralhome.com.
