St. Patrick's Day celebrations, Food and Artisan Show, comedy: Things to do in Seacoast

Happy St. Patrick's Day weekend, Seacoast! The luck of the Irish is with us all when it comes to things to do this weekend. Head over to the Dance Hall for some swing blues with The Smack Dabs, enjoy some specialty food and crafts at the Great New England Specialty Foods & Artisan Show in Hampton or shake your shamrocks at the Saint Patrick’s Comedy & Dance Spectacular at The Music Hall.

The Smack Dabs at The Dance Hall

The Smack Dabs will perform at The Dance Hall on Friday, March 15, 2024.

What: The Smack Dabs, out of Boston, specialize in good-time swing blues music from the 1930s, featuring the songs of Tampa Red, Big Bill Broonzy, The Harlem Hamfats, and many others. 

When: Friday, March 15, 7:30-9 p.m.

Moon Hooch with Honeycomb at 3S Artspace

What: Moon Hooch began busking in the subway platforms of NYC in 2010, quickly getting noticed by the NYPD, who had to ban them from locations that couldn’t handle the crowds. In a few short years they were opening for the likes of Beats Antique, They Might Be Giants, and Lotus, while selling out their own headline shows.

When: Friday, March 15, at 8 p.m.

DJ Jonathan Toubin’s Soul Clap & Dance Off at The Press Room

What: Juxtaposing raw, wild, and uncommon original 7-inch vinyl sides by unsung artists on the beat for today’s dance floor, Jonathan Toubin and his New York Night Train has carved out a unique space in contemporary culture and influenced scores of DJs and parties everywhere. $300 cash prize for dance contest winner.

The Great New England Specialty Food and Craft Show will be held on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17, 2024.

What: The Great New England Specialty Foods & Craft Show with 100-plus exhibitors of handmade products and specialty foods, live music, raffles, face painting and Irish dancers.
